Titanium-ceramic armor plates, Protection Level 6 (DSTU)

Titanium-ceramic armor plates with 6 levels of protection according to DSTU standards for assault units and close-quarters combat: — ensure the soldier’s safety against up to 10 hits from B-32 armor-piercing bullets fired from 7.62×54R cartridges using PKM machine guns, SVD rifles, and Mosin-Nagant rifles from a distance of 10 meters. At the same time, it prevents the soldier from being injured by shrapnel or the impact of the bullet. The plate’s deformation from a bullet impact is no more than 15 mm (corresponding to the thickness of the Plastoon body armor’s impact-absorbing sphere), which significantly exceeds the strength of standard NATO plates (according to NIJ IV STD 0101.06—these allow for 44 mm of deformation, at which point the soldier requires emergency medical attention). – The plates feature a reinforced anti-slip layer that prevents damage from impacts and light debris, and also prevents the ricochet of bullet fragments and debris. – The plate maintains stable performance when heated to 60 0 °C, frozen to -40 °C, or when wet. – After a ceramic bullet penetrates the plate, it retains Level 2 protective properties. The set consists of two plates. Plate dimensions: 300 x 250 mm. Shape: convex. Weight of one plate: 3.5 kg.
